Today’s Panic is a quickie as I’m off to the first home game of the season for the Pioneer’s Basketball team… should be a good night!
I struggled to get the tree roots right so just gave up and added in a quasi-futuristic pot thingy… lazy, I know.

Today is the first of many Panic’s created entirely without a computer! That’s right… I did done paint some purdy things!
The piece turned out sort of ok… really not liking the font for “IS THE”… looks kinda like a bad title font on a Atari 2600 Martial Arts game. Been a while since I wielded a brush with any kind of paint on it also and man, I miss that undo button!
So, Bird is the Word is painted on a crappy old wooden place-mat with acrylics. Excuse my crappy snapshot with my digital camera but enjoy this following picture of the painting in its natural habitat.
Worm is the word! I thought the worm I drew for the verses series was quite cute so he gets his very own Panic today!
Today’s Panic is following on from the sub-series of letters I’ve done… I started with A way back in the day with Environmental Punk Scene and then the Multiple B illustration a few weeks ago and now… The Letter C
Another day, another Verses! This has been an awesomely fun last few Panics… might move on now though. Something new!
Digging drawing this series! Just a note though, the mouse is scaled up not because he is a super mouse, but because it looks better than a very small mouse that you cant see very well.
Well, call it lazy or call it creative, I’m going with the Vs theme again today, matching up character’s I’ve drawn for Piper’s chest of drawers piece I’m going to paint… today BEAR vs BEE!
BIRD VS WORM was born from my doodling of a range of characters that I’m going to paint on to Piper’s chest of drawers in her room. Now, the characters themselves are probably a little boring but when pitted against each in other in battle? Well…. I think I hear a new series theme coming on!
Today I decided to go with a mock vintage movie poster in the quasi-style of the 70 and 80’s posters of the B grade action and sci-fi films. I’m pretty sure are a real movies out there already called the Time Bandit but mine is in no way referring to those movies… I think.
I’m also not spending too much time on the Panic’s as I have a few girls to fuss over… namely my 2 day old daughter Piper, my four-year old Neave and my lovely wife Elle. 🙂
