I thought I would get one more new series in before the end of the project…
As most of you know, I like beards. I have drawn many of them throughout the project and I used to own a magnificent beard myself until I made the silly mistake of shaving it off.
Today is the first in the series “Beards of….” Tomorrow I will do Beards of ROCK… after that, it could be anything! 🙂

I had some fun drawing the Hairstyles of the 70’s and 80s (see below) so I thought I’d knock out another two decades worth.
2012… Nasty bastard or saviour? Happy New Year everybody… hopefully. 🙂
I thought about doing a NYE inspired Panic but really had nothing decent to draw, so I drew some hairstyles from two of the worst decades of fashion… Play safe tonight people and good luck for 2012.
Scary ghost, werewolf, Frankenstein and vampire silhouettes. Scary. Motherflippin. Stuff. Probably should have drawn this on Halloween… 🙂
In other news, the blog looks like it will hit 150,000 views around the time the project will finish on the 19th January, 2012. Pretty pumped about that, I never thought this site would generate as much interest as it has! It’s been awesome 🙂
I kinda bummed I won’t be doing The Creative Panic on the 22nd December 2012 because I won’t be able to draw something funny taking the piss on all those silly people who thought the world would end on the 21st December… I’m nasty like that 🙂
Hello to all the new subscribers for today, had a good run on the site views as I was featured in a One a Day post on the WordPress blog which is very cool! For the newbies, The Creative Panic is a One a Day Illustration blog and as you can see from the numbers in this post heading I have just done my 342nd post!
I mainly use Illustrator CS4 and my Wacom board to create each drawing and they take me anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours to do. I run a creative agency called helloFriday during the day so I don’t have heaps of time for and my “Panics” tend to be quickly drawn hence why you might see some rough line or colour work now and again.
So, only 22 illustrations to go until this project will be finished… to be honest I’m starting to feel a little sad that it will finish at 365. I’d love to start doing some more commission and editorial work so I think I’ll push that once the One a Day is done.
Thanks to all the subscribers and comments so far, it’s made it easier to keep the project going and good luck to anyone who is planning to start a One a Day blog for 2012.
The closer I get to the 365 illustrations the less I have to say about anything I draw… I just draw 🙂
